Returns
The vast majority of knives you find on www.the-forge.com are one-offs and you are buying exactly the knife you have seen advertised. However, should you feel that the knife you purchased does not match the description or is faulty, please send me an email first to mr.smith@the-forge.com. It is very much in my interest that you are a happy, not a disgruntled, customer, so I will be very open to finding a suitable solution with you.
However, please note that most knives on www.the-forge.com have carbon steel blades. Carbon steel blades will inevitably develop patina. This is not a flaw, but a normal (and usually very much desired) consequence of the blade reacting to the food you are cutting with it.

Carbon steel blades will also rust if not treated with some care. Most importantly, please rinse off the blades after use and properly dry the knives immediately. Leaving carbon steel knives wet will cause rust.
The knives you find on www.the-forge.com should also never be put in a dishwasher, but should always be cleaned by hand. Dishwashers will destroy the knives.

If we agree on a refund, please send the knife back to me first. I will refund you through PayPal immediately upon receipt of the knife. Please make sure that I receive the knife back in the same condition you have received it in. It will be your responsibility to ensure that the knife is not damaged during shipping, so please pack it properly in order to avoid any such damage.
